Anytime you are considering the purchase of a piece of handheld lawn equipment, always be sure to read the emissions compliance label. This label will state the number of hours the machine is expected to last before it needs to be overhauled. Unlike other manufacturers, Echo and Shindaiwa place the maximum allowable time of 300 hours on every machine they manufacture. Most other manufacturers will state only 50 hours for most of their products.
